godaddy sucks

and here’s the reason why…
I usually buy my domains through godaddy.com because the price is awesome compared to some other domain registrars out there. i dont host my domains with them since i have my own servers for hosting websites, email, and anything else i want. i do however, use them for my dns since godaddy.com’s total dns control is pretty simple to use and any changes i make are usually propagated out to the rest of the world in minutes rather then hours.
that wasnt the case this time. i recently moved my sites to a different ip address and updated my dns entries through godaddy.com’s total dns control like i always do. i waited patiently for all the settings to update and get sent out and bang… nothing. wtf? to make a long story short; everything i tried to get my sites working again failed… big time.
i dont mind setting up my own dns server, but why? its not a lot of work, but i just dont want to administer it. so i went searching the net and came across an old friend of mine that i used a few years ago, good ol’ everydns. i decided to give this old dog another try, so i logged into godaddy.com and set my nameservers to everydns and added my zone files. just a few moments later, bang… everything was fine!
and that my son, is the reason why godaddy.com sucks. hey, 5,120 people seem to agree.
what experiences have you had with godaddy.com? good or bad. (ignore any godaddy ads below… its google adsense’s way of messing with me)
